Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs will undergo surgery, sidelining him for the rest of the season after struggling with a knee injury.
Dallas: So, it looks like Trevon Diggs is in for a tough time. The Cowboys just announced he won’t be playing against the Panthers this Sunday. And guess what? He’s also going to miss the last three games of the season.
According to Jay Glazer from Fox Sports, Diggs is set to have surgery on that pesky knee injury that’s been bothering him all season. He missed a couple of games earlier but came back for the Bengals game. Now, though, he’s facing a long rehab after the surgery.
That Bengals game was a big deal because it was the first time this season that the Cowboys had their top cornerbacks—Diggs, Jourdan Lewis, and DaRon Bland—all on the field together. Fans were excited to see them play as a unit, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until next season for that.
This season, Diggs played in 11 games, racking up 42 tackles and snagging two interceptions. It’s a bummer to see him go down like this, especially with the playoffs around the corner.
