Tony Boselli, the Jaguars’ Hall of Famer, is now part of the team’s head coaching search after recent management changes
Jacksonville: The Jaguars are on the hunt for a new head coach and a General Manager after a bit of a mess in their search. They’ve got a fresh face in the mix now.
Enter Tony Boselli, the first Pro Football Hall of Famer from the Jaguars. He’s stepping in to help with the coaching search, according to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones.
It’s been tough for the Jaguars to attract top candidates lately. Owner Shad Khan initially decided to keep Trent Baalke after firing Doug Pederson, but that didn’t go over well. This week, Khan finally let Baalke go after Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen pulled out of the running.
Coen was once seen as a strong contender for the job, but things have changed.
The Jaguars have also chatted with a bunch of other candidates, including Aaron Glenn, Robert Saleh, Kellen Moore, Joe Brady, Patrick Graham, Todd Monken, Brian Flores, and Steve Spagnuolo.
They’re even bringing back Saleh and Graham for second interviews. It’s still up in the air if they’ll expand their search or revisit Coen.
