In a surprising turn of events, Justin Herbert was replaced by Taylor Heinicke after a hit during the game against the Chiefs, leaving fans anxious about his condition.
Los Angeles: So, during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Justin Herbert took a hard hit while trying to make a pass on third down. Ouch!
He immediately grabbed his left thigh and stayed down for a bit while the trainers rushed over. After some attention, he managed to get up but was limping pretty noticeably.
Heinicke had to jump in as the backup quarterback for the next play. Unfortunately, the Chargers couldn’t convert on third-and-20 and ended up punting the ball back to the Chiefs.
With just a little over three minutes left in the game, the Chiefs took over. Fans were left wondering about Herbert’s status, which was still unclear at that point.
