Seattle: With Geno Smith nursing a knee injury, the Seahawks have brought in Jaren Hall from the practice squad. This move comes just in time for their game against the Vikings.

Hall is no stranger to the Vikings, having played for them before. He’s now on the active roster, which means he could step in as the emergency quarterback if needed.

Sam Howell is backing up Smith, but if both Smith and Howell can’t play, Hall will be ready to jump in. Smith has been practicing all week, but he’s not quite at 100% yet.

Coach Mike Macdonald mentioned that while Smith is doing everything he can to be ready, it’s hard to say how effective he’ll be during the game.

Hall was a fifth-round pick in 2023 and started a couple of games for the Vikings last year. He had a decent preseason but was let go before the regular season kicked off.
