As he heads into free agency in March, Wilson is hopeful about returning to Pittsburgh in 2025. After the playoff game, he shared, “I trust God, whenever that is. And it’s a special, special place.”

Tomlin didn’t dive into the quarterback situation but acknowledged that Wilson’s performance, like the team’s, “wasn’t good enough.” Still, he praised Wilson’s leadership after halftime.
Wilson joined the Steelers for a bargain at $1.21 million, thanks to the Broncos still owing him a hefty sum. Now, the big question is whether the Steelers want to keep him or look for a new direction.
All three quarterbacks on the roster, including Wilson, have contracts that are up. After a year of rebuilding, the Steelers might shake things up again if the results don’t improve.
If they decide to move on, Wilson is ready to explore his options. He stated, “I’ve got so much more ball left in me.”
