The Rams bolster their roster by signing Royce Freeman as they prepare for the NFC wild-card game against the Vikings
Los Angeles: The Rams are making some moves as they gear up for the playoffs. They just signed running back Royce Freeman to help out after losing Blake Corum to injury.
Freeman is no stranger to the Rams, having played with them last season. He rushed for 319 yards and scored two touchdowns, so he knows the system pretty well.
In addition to Freeman, veteran safety John Johnson III is back from injured reserve. He’s been out since he hurt his shoulder early in the season, but he’s ready to add some experience to the defense.
Corum, who was the backup running back, suffered a fractured forearm in last week’s game against the Seahawks. That’s a tough break for him, but the Rams are hoping Freeman can step up.
With the playoffs around the corner, every move counts. The Rams are looking to make a strong push, and adding Freeman could be just what they need.
