New England: So, Phil Perry just dropped some thoughts on who the Patriots should go after this offseason. With a bunch of needs and some cash to spend, it’s time for the Pats to make some moves.

First up, they really need to look at wide receivers, offensive tackles, and edge rushers. There are some solid options out there in free agency, plus they’ve got that No. 4 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to play with.

Perry thinks they should tackle these needs before the draft rolls around. He mentioned that it’s better to fill those gaps with good players now, so they’re not scrambling later. You don’t want to be stuck in a position where you have to reach for a player just because you didn’t address your needs earlier.

Now, who should they focus on? Perry has a list of five players he thinks would be great fits in Foxboro. First, there’s Tee Higgins. If he doesn’t re-sign with the Bengals, he’ll be the top wide receiver available. He had a solid season, and he’d be a perfect target for the Pats’ QB, Drake Maye.

Then there’s Ronnie Stanley, a veteran tackle who could really help out the offensive line. He’s had a bounce-back year in Baltimore, and the Pats could use that kind of experience.

Josh Sweat is another name to consider. He had a decent season with the Eagles and would be a great addition to a team that struggled with sacks last year.

Also, keep an eye on Zach Tom from the Packers. He’s been underrated but had a great season. It might be tough to get him, but the Patriots need to explore that option.

Lastly, there’s Abdul Carter, who’s a hot prospect in the upcoming draft. If he’s still available when the Pats pick, they’d be crazy to pass him up.

Perry knows landing all these guys is a long shot, but he believes it’s the right approach. He said it’s all about filling needs first, then going into the draft ready to grab the best player available.
