After a disappointing postseason, NFL teams like the Vikings must address key issues to improve for next season
Minneapolis: So, the Vikings and a few other NFL teams had a rough time in the playoffs. It’s tough to get there, but being one-and-done? That stings. They’ve got a lot to figure out before next season.
First up, the Vikings are looking at a new era with J.J. McCarthy possibly stepping in as quarterback. But they really need to beef up their defense too. It’s not just about finding a new QB; they need some serious talent on that side of the ball. Brian Flores, their defensive coach, can work wonders, but he needs better players to work with.
Then there are the Steelers. They ended their season on a low note, losing all their last four games. They’ve got to find a solid quarterback and some fresh talent at wide receiver and running back. Right now, they just don’t have enough firepower to keep up with other teams.
Over in Los Angeles, the Chargers had a rough playoff exit too. They’ve made some progress, but they need to strengthen their offensive line. If they want to run the ball effectively, they’ve got to improve that front line. A few good picks in the draft could help them out.
Denver’s defense is almost there, but they need to get tougher against the run. They’ve got some good players, but they need a solid nose tackle to help out. If they can shore up that area, they’ll be in much better shape.
Green Bay had a tough loss against the Eagles, and it was a mess. They need more playmakers who can create opportunities. Their receivers and pass rushers need to step up big time. If they can find some explosive talent, they’ll be much better off.
Lastly, the Buccaneers need to revamp their defense. They’ve lost some key players over the years, and it shows. They need younger, faster guys to keep up. Their offense looks decent, but they’ve got to focus on the defensive side to get back to winning ways.
