The NFL coaching landscape is shifting as teams eye Lions’ Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn for potential hires
Houston: So, Diontae Johnson just got picked up by the Baltimore Ravens after leaving the Texans. It’s a bit of a whirlwind, right? He was only with Houston for a short time.
He joined the Texans on December 26, but only played in one regular season game and one playoff game. In those two games, he caught three passes for 24 yards. Not exactly a blockbuster performance.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said, “Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. We are onto the Chiefs.” Sounds like they’re ready to move on.
Now, you might wonder why the Ravens would want him back, especially since he can’t play this season anymore. Well, he can’t officially join them until after the Super Bowl. Plus, being an unrestricted free agent this offseason could help the Ravens snag an extra draft pick in 2026 if he signs elsewhere.
It’s all about strategy in the NFL, isn’t it? Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
