Jalen Hurts shares his confidence in playing for the NFC Championship Game after a leg injury in the Eagles’ recent win
Philadelphia: Jalen Hurts is feeling optimistic after the Eagles’ win over the Rams. He hurt his leg during the game but insists he’ll be ready for the NFC Championship Game next Sunday.
Hurts, who’s 26, got injured while being sacked in the second quarter. He was limping a bit but managed to stay in the game without missing a snap. He said it was a tough match but he pushed through.
“I finished the game, and we’ll see how the week goes,” he mentioned. The Eagles are gearing up to face the Commanders, and Hurts is hopeful about his status.
When asked if he was uncertain about playing next week, he confidently replied, “No. Just seeing how things progress.” He completed 15 of 20 passes for 128 yards, but didn’t throw any touchdowns.
Hurts also had a solid rushing game, running for 70 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown. However, he faced some pressure, taking seven sacks during the game.
He reflected on the game, saying, “Rhythm is everything. We just have to find our rhythm.” It was a mixed performance, and fans are eager to see how his leg holds up for the upcoming game.
The Eagles relied heavily on their run game, with Saquon Barkley rushing for 205 yards. Despite the snowy conditions, they managed to secure the win, but Hurts knows they need to improve.
“Enough is never enough,” he said. “We want to play complementary football and find ways to win.” The team is focused on getting better as they head into the playoffs.
