The Patriots are reportedly adding kicker John Parker Romo, putting Joey Slye’s position in jeopardy ahead of their upcoming game.
Foxborough: So, it looks like Joey Slye might be on shaky ground with the Patriots. They’re reportedly bringing in John Parker Romo, who was recently with the Vikings.
Romo had a solid run in Minnesota, hitting 11 out of 12 field goals and 7 of 8 extra points while filling in for an injured kicker. That’s pretty impressive!
On the flip side, Slye hasn’t been as reliable this season, making just 78.6% of his kicks. He even missed a short one in the last game against the Colts.
The Patriots are coming off a bye week and will face the Cardinals soon. With Romo joining the team, he could take over Slye’s role as early as this weekend. It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out!
