Kansas City: So, guess what? Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is finally back! He’s been activated from injured reserve and is all set to make his season debut against the Texans this Saturday.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid mentioned that Brown had a solid shot at playing after his surgery in September. He had to fix a dislocated joint in his shoulder, which he hurt during the preseason.

At first, it didn’t look like he’d be back this season. But after getting the thumbs up from doctors to practice this week, he’s ready to hit the field.

Brown got hurt in the Chiefs’ first preseason game back in August. Initially, they thought he’d need about 4-6 weeks to recover. But after checking things out, they decided surgery was the best route since his shoulder wasn’t healing right.

He signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs in March, worth up to $11 million. Before this, he played two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, racking up 51 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns.

To make room for him, the Chiefs waived running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who then joined the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad.

And while Brown is gearing up for his first game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is also looking good to play. He had a high ankle sprain from last week’s game against the Browns, but he practiced fully, so it seems he’ll be on the field too.
